Post Car maintanence day?
So I'm stuck working until christmas day... But even then I'm on call and our shop is closed on the 28th so I'm guessing im spending my whole day there anyways.
I have decided to do a car maintanence day on the 28th at my shop just figured I would get a time estimate from you guys on how long you figure it will take me
All 4 brake pads (never done brakes before) I figure about 3 hours for this.
HID installation and aiming
Fog light bulb replacement
Ignition Coil replacement
Re-Seal Headers
Spark plugs
Oil change...

I am figureing its going to take me about 10 hours to do all this by the time i end up having to sell parts and whatnot, what does the peanut gallery figure?

well since I have done all those things only a few times :whistling:
I am gonna say 10 hours if this is your first time doing the
brakes, HID's and others on the list.

Brakes: 2 hours
HIDS: 1.5 hours
Aiming: 5-10 minutes
fog light bulb replacement If no HID conversion: 10 minutes
wires and plugs: 1/2 hour if you have no brackets in your way... 1 hour if you still have a tonne of brackets to wrestle with in the back.
Coil replacement: 20 minutes
oil change: 1 hour
reseal headers: Front 1/2 hour rear 1/2hour so 1 hour total

these are estimated times if you have not done these before. Also I am accounting for break time and doggin time. I say 10 hours should be plenty since this estimate is sittin at about 6 hours.

Well I am supposed to be working that day so, I may have to work on customer equipment or something. So 10 hours is fair..
